SRI SHARAN IS ‘SMT JAYALALITHA’

This kind of role is once in lifetime. 70 percent of the film in female get up shedding weight, getting make over in five to six hours time is not an ordinary task. I have accepted this with careful thought. After doing this the ‘Sharanism’ is not missing and I would hope the comedy and entertainment elements would carry like how it happened in my previous films ‘Rambo and Victory’ observes Sharan on his film ‘Smt Jayalalitha’.

I was in doubt that I would like my sister Shruthi. There was danger of ‘Hasya’ become ‘Hasyaspada’. Yet I took up this role with pillars like Ravishanker and Harish Raj with two heroines Disha Pandey and Aishwarya Devan disclosed Sharan.

I was first asked whether I have ‘Meter’ to perform in the title ‘Jayalalitha’ by my friend Tarun after watching the film. It is after my friends watched the film ‘Maaya Mohini’ made in Malayalam recalled. The role is journey to the life of womanhood. I reduced 11 kilos, for three months with three churidhar costume with mirrors inside the house I have practiced for the film, I was in many costumes including frock and swim suit. Sharan says he also appears in title song ‘Enivaaga….written by Yogaraj Bhat.

Pon Kumar of Vishnuvardhana, Charulatha well made films is director of this film. He lauded Sharan capacity to turn as a good figure.

Arun Kumar one of the producers sees no danger in this title. He had call for change in the title but it is not a pressure he says. Indira, Giridhar, Manjula Shanker are other producers of this film.

Ravishanker Gowda and Harish Raj are behind Sharan when he is in ‘Smt Jayalalitha’ get up.

Sridhar Sambram has done five songs for the film and he is happy for working with director like Pon Kumar.
